Fall 2024 ASL Classes
The Louisiana School for the Deaf
The Louisiana School for the Deaf is offering virtual Community ASL Level 1 and 2 classes:
- The Level 1 class runs Monday, September 30, 2024 through Monday, November 18, 2024
- The Level 2 class runs Tuesday, October 1, 2024 through Tuesday, November 19, 2024
Each class occurs once weekly with 1.5-hour time slots from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The Level 1 class is limited to 30 students on a first-come, first served basis, and the Level 2 class is limited to a minimum of 8 students.
This class is limited to those who currently reside in Louisiana.

Deaf Focus
The Louisiana Association of the Deaf (LAD) offers two virtual 8-week ASL classes in the fall.
- Fall 2024 ASL 1 Classes: 8 weeks beginning on September 19, 2024, at 6:30 pm CST.
Classes run for 2 hours every Thursday with the final class on November 14, 2024. We will skip October 31 to celebrate Halloween! - Fall 2024 ASL 2 Classes: 8 weeks beginning on September 17, 2024, at 6:30 pm CST.
Classes run for 2 hours every Tuesday with the final class on November 7, 2024.
Deaf Action Center
The Deaf Action Center offers "Sign Language 101," a 6-Week Online Course in Shreveport from October 15th- November 19th at 6:00-7:30 PM (Live).
Oklahoma School for the Deaf
Oklahoma School for the Deaf offers two self-paced ASL Community Classes:

American Sign Language I: 8-lesson self-paced course from September 16th, 2024 until December 30th, 2024.
