Have you always been interested in learning ASL? Do you use ASL to communicate with your child or students but would like to learn more? There are various opportunities across the state to start learning this fall—both in person and virtual. Take a look below to find the best class for you!

 

Fall 2024 ASL Classes

The Louisiana School for the Deaf 

The Louisiana School for the Deaf is offering virtual Community ASL Level 1 and 2 classes:

Each class occurs once weekly with 1.5-hour time slots from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The Level 1 class is limited to 30 students on a first-come, first served basis, and the Level 2 class is limited to a minimum of 8 students.

This class is limited to those who currently reside in Louisiana.

The Louisiana Association of the Deaf (LAD) offers two virtual 8-week ASL classes in the fall.

Deaf Action Center

The Deaf Action Center offers "Sign Language 101," a 6-Week Online Course in Shreveport from October 15th- November 19th at 6:00-7:30 PM (Live).
