The PAYCheck Transition Leadership Lab is a structured leadership cohort designed to help school districts strengthen postsecondary transition services for students with disabilities. In this program district leadership teams will analyze their current postsecondary transition systems, learn evidence-based practices, and develop a practical district transition improvement plan.

Program Goals
Participants will:
- Analyze their district postsecondary transition system
- Identify key barriers affecting postsecondary transition outcomes
- Learn evidence-based postsecondary transition strategies
- Collaborate with other districts to solve common challenges
- Develop a District Transition Improvement Plan
Key Deliverables
Each district completes a Transition System Improvement Plan that identifies:
- Priority areas for improvement
- Strategies to address barriers
- Implementation steps
- Future goals for strengthening postsecondary transition services

PAYCheck
Postsecondary Apprenticeship for Youth (PAYCheck) supports Louisiana school districts in preparing students with disabilities for life after high school through evidence-based practices focused on employment, postsecondary education, and independent living.
Through training, coaching, and hands-on learning opportunities, PAYCheck helps educators build real-world pathways that lead to meaningful careers and greater independence for students. Districts partnering with PAYCheck gain practical tools and strategies that translate directly into improved post-school outcomes.

LASARD
