The Louisiana DeafBlind Project created a list of summer camps available for children in grades Prek-12 who are Blind/low-vision, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind.
LA School for the Deaf Summer Program
Grades preK-12th grade
Lasts June 3rd through June 28th
Located in Baton Rouge, LA
LA School for the Deaf Summer Program will be offered throughout June to all PreK-12th grade Deaf/Hard of hearing students statewide! You do not have to be enrolled at LSD to join. This camp is offered at no cost, including meals, transportation, and lodging.
DEADLINE: Please submit all information for all interested students by April 19th, 2024. Spots for the program, lodging, and transportation are ALL first come, first serve and there is limited availability, so apply ASAP! All interested families will be contacted on a rolling basis depending on space. The sooner you apply, the better.

Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired Summer Camp
Runs from June 3 through June 28th, 8am-3:15pm daily

Tiger Camp at LSU Health New Orleans
Ages 6-15
Runs May 20th through May 24th
Located in New Orleans, LA
Tiger Camp offers a week of fun and adventure to campers with disabilities ages 6-15, staffed by medical students with a 2:1 counselor-camper ratio.

Join your neighbors in Mississippi for a recreational weekend for children who are blind, low-vision, or deafblind! This camp is free and staffed by a wonderful team of volunteers.
National Technical Institute for the Deaf's Regional STEM Center program
Grades 10-12th grade (must be 15 years old on the first day of the summer program)
Runs June 9-29, 2024 and July 7-27, 2024
Located in Talladega, AL
Deaf/Hard of Hearing high school students are invited to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf's Regional STEM Center program in Alabama! Students must be 15 when the program begins. This program is offered at no cost to families!
Louisiana Lions Camp
Ages 8-19
Runs June 9-29, 2024 and July 7-27, 2024

Bell Academy
Ages 4-12
Runs from June 5th to June 11th
Located in Ruston, LA
Bell Academy is at the Louisiana Center for the Blind in Ruston from June 5th to 11th and is open to any blind child ages 4-12.
Camp ABLE
Ages 15 and older
Lasts June 16-22, 2024
Located in Lafayette, LA
Affiliated Blind of Louisiana will offer a summer transition program, Camp Able, from June 16th to 22nd for youth 15 and older. Register here.

Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on each campers' abilities rather than their disabilities. Traditional camp activities are adapted to each individual, provided in our barrier-free facilities, and implemented by trained, caring staff. Our campers are grouped by age, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while having fun and experiencing new adventures.
