Hurricane Communication Boards
We all know how terrifying hurricane season can be, but imagine if you didn’t have a functional form of communication to express your wants/needs to others around you. A simple Communication Board that has icons relating to the situation can make a difference for you and your child. These boards will give the individual a way to communicate with you, and they will also help promote some understanding with all the changes around them.
Hurricane Choice Boards
We all know how tough it is when the power is out during a hurricane! Our learners are so used to having access to electronics and WiFi that it can be even more challenging to find activities that keep them busy during power outages. Check-out our Activity Choice Board that answers the question, “What do I do when there is no power or Wifi?”
Activity Boards are a great way to build communication skills, prevent interfering behaviors, and promote independence! Learners can easily select the activity they want to do the most by pointing or verbalizing their choice.
