Rafael Sampayo

Prior to enrolling at LSU, Rafael was a career special educator with eight years of experience in the inclusion, self-contained, resource and therapeutic setting. He served as a special education teacher in public schools in both New Orleans and New York City and has worked in school leadership as a special education coordinator.

His goals for IPP are to gain clarity on the scopes of practices of all allied health professionals and learn strategies for collaboration.

His ultimate goal is to create a multi-disciplinary organization that helps integrate AAC devices into New Orleans public schools.
