LEND scholar receives fellowship position at RWJF

2020-21 LEND scholar Natasha M. Lee-Johnson has been selected for a competitive fellowship from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) as a Health Policy Research Scholar. Natasha is currently a doctoral student in the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University. She is the first person in Louisiana to receive this prestigious RWJF fellowship. 

As a Health Policy Research Scholar, Natasha will apply her research to help build healthier and more equitable communities. Natasha’s research interests focus on reproductive healthcare access for Black women and people with intellectual disabilities. Natasha aims to translate health equity research into actionable strategies and policy recommendations to improve health service systems and promote self-advocacy among Black women with disabilities.
